How to Create your Own Website - The Simple Way

by comstation11 on Jan.29, 2009, under Uncategorized

If you want to create a webiste that is similiar to this one, you’ll want to follow the wordpress instructions. If you want a website like the one you can find here, (Above the Underside’s Website) you’ll want to follow the webs.com instructions. Please note that this isn’t exactly creating a website, but it is your own website.

Wordpress-type

1. Go to wordpress.com.
2. Click the big button that says, “Sign up Now!”
3. Fill out the form and accept. Make sure that “Gimme a blog!” is checked.
4. Fill out the resulting form. The top one will be how people get to your site, also known as your site’s “URL.” Be sure to give your site a title as well.
5. Confirm your account with your email, and change your profile settings if you want to.
6. Visit your blog! The link will be given in the email.
7. Now you probably wanna change some stuff. Go to http://(yourblogurl)/wp-admin (Ex. http://example.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ - or get there through wordpress.com. This will bring you to your administration panel. If you want to figure out how to change something, google it and learn how! After you’ve changed your site around, tell people to visit it!

Webs.com-type

1. Go to webs.com.
2. Fill in the form that you see right as you visit.
3. This will take you to another form, which will also need filling out.
4. From there, it’s very easy to change anything you want! In my opinion, it’s simpler than wordpress, but not as powerful.

If you make a website, please link back to my website and leave a comment!

How to run Multiple Instances of GP4

by comstation11 on Jan.28, 2009, under Uncategorized

By the request of my online schoolmates, I have written this post. (You pushy people know who you are!)

Disclaimer: I will not be held responsible for anything you do or anything that happens with or because of the below information.

As of version 4.2.0.29 maybe earlier, and I don’t know about later, you are able to run more than one GP4 at a time, multiple ways.

The first way, which only works on vista, is as follows.

1. Right-click on your GP4 shortcut or executable and pick “Run as administrator” to run it as an admin.
2. Confirm the form however necessary then as soon as you can.
3. Run more GP4s without running them as an admin as quickly as possible. The quicker you are, the more you will run.
4. Repeat on multiple user accounts.

The other way, which may work on any operating system.

1. Find a point in which your computer is working really hard and being laggy. Like when you first log in.
2. As soon as you can, open as many GP4s as possible. It will slow your computer for a couple of minutes, but you’ll have quite a few GP4s running.

Ta-da! Now please don’t abuse this, it’ll get removed and people hate you for it. So use it wisely and sparingly if ever.

Despite my warnings, there it is! Leave a comment if you need help or for any other reason!
